How it works
On a traditional cloud you rent a slice of a company-owned data center; if that company has an outage, raises prices, or suspends your account, your app goes with it. On a decentralized cloud, thousands of independent operators contribute capacity to a shared network. When you deploy, your app runs as redundant instances scheduled across many of those nodes, so no single operator — and no single account — controls whether it stays online.
